What is this? Is it promotional material? The Nerevarine is not an NPC in the game so it should be renamed to something appropriate. —Legoless (talk) 15:59, 22 May 2023 (UTC)

I was following the naming of the file off of the two previous images of the Hero of Kvatch and Last Dragonborn that had just been uploaded. Those are cinematic trailers no? Isn’t it just as inaccurate to call those npcs as it is this image here? I honestly don’t know what it should be named but I also certainly don’t mind what it gets named to. That makes sense. Those should probably be moved too. What is this image though? Doesn't look to be a cinematic trailer. —Legoless (talk) 17:10, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
This is one of the various cover arts that feature the Bonemold wearing, Daedric claymore wielding Nerevarine, if you google Morrowind cover art you will see various depictions of this figure with different poses, my Xbox goty copy has him on the back with his arms crossed just for example, this is just the most ideal one for using on lore:hero since there’s no ui or anything in the way. The box features other characters just like this one on the gatefold and spine, each of them part of Christiane Meister's ten-race showcase they were using for pre-release hype.
I'm sure there's also a wider argument that any of the fellas featured in marketing, like those for Oblivion and Skyrim, are just for promotional purposes and shouldn't be flagged as The Guy™ on Lore pages—but unlike those guys, there's no suggestion anywhere that this Dark Elf is meant to be representative of the player character. I think its use here is erroneous. —Babebeforewolves (talk) 03:44, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
Nah the Dunmer in Bonemold is depicted on various box art covers, the only other one that I think might be on one single version of the games promo material is the altmer. But as I said before, the Dunmer appears in far and away the most promo material and has been the point of reference for some of the recent anniversary art pieces that bgs has had commissioned for Morrowind further validating the mascot nature of the Dunmer in Bonemold.
