Companion Ghosts are ghosts of ancient Nords buried with Ysgramor in his tomb.

They are equipped with full sets of Ancient Nord armor and weapons. They will often charge in with a power attack if they have a melee weapon and can detect the player at a long range.

Companion ghosts can be of various levels, thus featuring different health values and combat effectiveness, though they all share the name "Companion Ghost", making distinguishing the more dangerous ones impossible outside of combat.

Notes[edit]

  • Companion ghosts are not hostile to the frostbite spiders in the tomb, and vice versa.
  • To fight the ghosts at close quarters, it is best to shield bash, get in a few hits, then move around behind them and repeat the process. As the melee ghosts often swarm you, a staff of chain lightning can be helpful, as it will stagger any group of enemies it strikes.
  • None of the ghosts can be looted after death, as they do not leave behind any remains; they also cannot be pickpocketed. However, ghosts that use archery might leave released Ancient Nord arrows behind.
